The Countess of Limerick served the Red Cross for 60 years, and was in charge of the London division during the Blitz. She continued as an important figure in the British Red Cross and in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent during the years following the Second World War. Her last role was Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Red Cross 1965-1973. First edition, in fine condition with a fine dust jacket: very slight foxing of page edges.
