The author is an artist, musician and poet. The fables are all his own, improbable and playful – a pair of cross-dressing vultures, a timorous elk, a parliament of quails, an irritable camel that quite literally walks off the page… The book has also been designed by him as well, using Bewick’s woodcuts and Bodoni’s dingbats; the typesetting is exquisite and small liberties have been taken with some of the woodcuts. The more you look at the book, the more you find. Privately published in a signed, limited edition of 250.
