Tall, red-haired, green-eyed, Enid Lindeman caused havoc in pursuit of love and wealth. No less than five lovers killed themselves, her husbands died at regular intervals (one was known as Caviar, all but one were very rich). Whether striding through Hyde Park with a her pet cheetah in a diamond collar, driving an ambulance in Paris in WW1 or hiding Allied airmen in WW2, she lived bravely. Her motto was ‘Never be ill, never be afraid, and never be jealous’.
