Skelton’s first volume of memoirs covers her youth, war years in Cairo and Athens and marriage to Cyril Connolly; full of gossip and insights into their circle. First edition, first impression in fine condition. The dust jacket is in excellent condition, smooth, no rips, not price-clipped, but very slightly rubbed at the top of the spine. Contains 2 sections of black and white photographs, slightly yellowed at the page edges. Inscribed on flyleaf in Mrs Littman’s hand as follows:
