From Buddhist, Jain and Hindu temples through to Islamic and European centres of worship and commerce, this two volume set covers two-thousand years of Indian architectural history.

Vol. 1: Buddhist, Jain, Hindu / George Michell
First edition, first printing, inscribed by the author ‘For Bruce [Palling] with all good wishes, George.’ The book is in near fine condition with some foxing to the top edges only, a good dustjacket: no tears, but the rear of the dustjacket is rubbed and there is some shelf wear on the top corners and the head of the spine.

Vol. 2: Islamic, Rajput, European / Philip Davies
First edition, first printing. The book is in near fine condition with some foxing on the top of the print block. A good dust jacket, albeit with some minor scratches on the back and a small tear on the head of the back flap.
