Small mark on front free endpaper corresponding to the square John Murray price label on front flap of dust jacket. Inscribed on half-title page: “My [Wilder Shores of Love] Inscribed for Mark + Marguerite , on the Wildest Shores of Delight & Comfort at 79 Chester Square, from their happy, idle, appreciative, loving guest Lesley. November ‘74”. As is apparent from the inscriptions in several books that Blanch gave the Littmans, she was a close friend and regular house guest at 79 Chester Square.
