Wolfe’s legendary trip around the US with Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters in a psychedelic bus is arguably the best literary introduction to American counterculture of the early 1960s. First edition, first impression, in very good condition with very good dust jacket, slightly sun-faded at spine; minimal shelf wear. The book appears to have had a knock at the top of the spine, cracking the cloth for 1cm vertically. Mysteriously – and fortunately – the dust jacket is undamaged and hides the spine.
